Sheriff Keith Brown is the current sheriff, with over 30 years of law enforcement experience. Beginning as a jailer here in Saline County, later moving on to the Illinois State Police. Sheriff Brown was elected in 2006, replacing retiring Sheriff Ed Miller. The Saline County Sheriff's Department has been around since the late 1800's and has a long and established tradition for maintaining peace in the area. Working with over thirty agencies' the Sheriff's Department is organized to meet the law enforcement needs of the people in Saline County. |
